I like how it folds up very small and flat - great for camping/travelling. However, you must have a cup/container wide enough to attach it to or the coffee will spill out. I have a tall thermos which I prefer because it keeps the coffee warm/hot for hours. But its opening is too narrow. I can't use this drip filter with it because more coffee liquid spills out on the sides than with a thermos flask. Pooh. What a mess. I found out about it too late on one of my trips and ended up having to attach this dripper to a jug and then use it to pour coffee into a thermos. Talk about inconveniences. When hiking, I don't like using more containers than I need because I try to keep dishwashing to a minimum. So the lesson is this: make sure your container has a large enough opening. Note that even my wide thermos isn't wide enough to spill.
