The pillows are used more as a decorative piece as it can get warm. The real issue with them is when I'm sleeping and it gives me a good tickle on my nose or face. Trust me it'll keep you up. That's not too big of an issue since we use other pillows now. We have silver silk pillows if you're wondering what those are in the picture.So what do i think of the set?You get what you pay for. The quality of the fuzzyness is faux fur, though it's not the highest of quality. I can't attest how it'll hold up in the washer but it is recommended to wash on cold. I'm gonna hang dry it in the hot summer days here. It does indeed have a side zip-up for putting a blanket in. It's too hot here in the south so there's no need for it. It does without. The main issue with this comforter is that it is a bit short for a queen-sized bed. It doesn't fully extend on the toe end so we just ring it down lower but it cuts out the top a bit. The other issue is that if you have more than one person in the bed, you'll find yourself getting caught with the comforter rolled underneath you, basically it gets caught up very easily and bunched up. If your partner is in the bed, on some nights you can find yourself having the whole comforter for yourself with your partner naked with only a sheet with their feet stuck out. I was honestly expecting more from this set. IMO, if you want a cheap comforter for the price, well you get what you pay for. I really recommend saving up and getting a nicer one though.
