Hello, I have two chocolates. AKC developed Labs. My oldest dog just turned 13 and had an old hock injury from hunting that had turned into arthritis. She began to trace her paw slightly and walked onto the curb while crossing the street, causing her to rub off some of her nails. I didn't realize it until I examined her after the walk and realized she needed protection. I've been looking for a good product that doesn't slip off and offers long-lasting protection for her hind legs. She is currently not wearing a front. As long as this product is not crushed. Other "Durable Dog Boots" are designed for lighter jobs and are still a good product, but asphalt wears them out. Be sure to take off the correct foot size to ensure a snug fit and do not overtighten the two Velcro straps once the boot has been correctly fitted. I find it easier if my dog is on its side when I put on my boots. This boot is a very supportive welly that doesn't slip down like some. I also like the inner lining.
