Review on High Sierra Laptop Backpack Charcoal by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible workmanship, belts worn out in 4 months and the replacement is no better!

Starting as a great backpack for laptop, books and other stuff. The pop up panel for the TSA worked very well and made the TSA pre-check very quick. In addition, this bag looks very good. After about 4 months I noticed abrasions on both straps where they attach to the bottom of the pack and the top of the straps. I have contacted High Sierra and they need photos of the defect, a photo of the label inside and a copy of my receipt (I think the lifetime warranty also needs a receipt). Luckily I bought from Revain so I was able to get a receipt which looked awful and I hoped I kept the thermal receipt. Next comes a series of emails back and forth for 2 weeks. Eventually I got a replacement approved and had to choose a few different types "in case your model isn't available". Then when it was approved I had to cut open my backpack and send them pictures BEFORE my replacement was shipped! What a hell of a mess to replace poor and inferior quality or lack of craftsmanship with High Sierra! A few months ago I bought another backpack - Northface - and it's much better.
