This product looks good but unfortunately is not suitable for medium or large dogs. I was also disappointed that there are no side grommets or brackets to prevent the sides of the seat from "pulling" towards the center. I have attempted to remedy this situation by installing bushings on the seat cover and using small bungee cords to secure the edges of the cover to the edge of the seat. The tarp material I installed the bushings on is too weak to hold the brass bushings in place and they just pulled out. I will sew a heavier canvas material to the "holes" and reposition the grommets to hold with the reinforced "patch". I have bought another Bergan pet car seat which has a lot more room for my other car and works well but it is not suitable for a medium or large sized dog although it is very visually appealing. Result. Unfortunately not strong enough for a large dog.
