If you want to hide the power cord under the cover, the cord should be a little longer. I drive a mid-size SUV and had to strip the cord in two places to get it to the outlet. The instructions that came with the camera are almost useless. Do yourself a favor and just watch the Youtube video. Everything wasn't that bad. The video quality was good, the suction cup mount worked great. The included plastic pruning tool was up to the task. I bought a DVR for a relatively low price. Now I'm convinced that owning a DVR makes sense, but my next one will be of a different brand.
