When you first fill it up it will look quite full, but it does eventually pack down. As it packs down a bit, not greatest for side-sleeping, at least not if you have wider shoulders I suppose. But for sleeping on your back, I like it a lot as I like not feeling like my neck is curled towards by chest when I sleep on my back.Not exactly fluffy-soft, more dense-soft, but very supportive. Give it a minute to form to your head/neck though and it's very supportive. It might take a bit to move around the foam just right, but once you have this dialed in, it feels like a great pillow if you have occasional neck soreness.I am both side/back sleeper, so I have another fuller pillow for side sleeping, but I love switching to this one when I wanna roll on my back.
