So I had an m2 NVMe SSD with 1800MB read and 1800MB write capacity (Intel 660P) in the m2 slot but my motherboard was only x2 so my speeds were only 800r and 800w. I bought this adapter with some skepticism. Put my SSD in it along with the provided cooling pad. I popped it into the second PCIe 16 slot, crossed my fingers, and ran a benchmark test. Both reads and writes are bound to a maximum throughput of 1800MB! You couldn't be more surprised and happy at the same time! WOW!
