I bought these to replace a kit I bought a few years ago that was no longer charging. (Not the same brand.) They're better in a few ways, but unfortunately a lot louder. ADVANTAGES: - Easy positioning at will. They are much more "portable" than my previous set. Disabling them doesn't have to be cycled through all speeds like I did with my last sentence. You hold down the button to turn it on and off. - Cooling, but to be honest I tend to use these to repel bugs! I live in the forest and mosquitoes fly in my face/eyes at certain times of the day when I walk my dog. Creating wind in front of my face seems to scare them away. They are easy to charge and last quite a long time without recharging. (Depending on what speed you're using.) CONS: - They're a lot louder than my previous pair, making it difficult to hear things like cars on the road. That's a problem.
