Is this the best sliding camera? no It works out? After a long balancing process. From satisfactory to fairly good. I use it with 7D and Tokina 11-16 and most of the time it holds up to the weight. I will say that this is not the best material, but not the worst. Lifting the weights is a bit tricky as the bar gets stuck in such a way that small adjustments are difficult. There are no micro-adjusters for the top plate, so be prepared for your fingers to tighten and loosen as you adjust. If you have the budget, buy something better like a real Glidecam or Laing. If you can afford it, it'll do for a while, but be prepared to work on stable footage.
