I folded an old Hoover with a booster. I don't like shelves but a friend got this for me when he was on his last legs because my old vacuum had died. So I used the inlet to put a flexible hose and a magic wand on it and turned it into a canister. and with the new filter this brush attachment worked fine but with the vacuum attachment I had it was a shame to use. I am planning to replace the vacuum cleaner but so far with this attachment I am happy with its performance. The wheels leave no marks on my 1/4" thick carpet and are a lot easier to use (women? - ugh) than the brush head I had before. It's good if you have arthritis too. And you won't get linoleum - or scratch hardwood floors because the wheels are rubberized Carpet either, too much suction can limit the life of your carpet.
