Bought this camera to replace the W290 I bought from Target at full price (about $240) 5 years ago. My camera was still taking pictures, but a blurry white circle appeared in the center of my photos. I took it to a local camera repair shop and they couldn't fix it. He told me to send it back to Sony. Sony wanted to charge $91 for repairs. I bought this replacement for $8 more. Why did I buy the same model? I looked and looked and in the end I decided 1. I didn't want to pay more and 2. I didn't want to learn how to use a new camera and 3. I didn't like how Sony changed the buttons on the back panel on newer models and 4. I wanted to keep the same batteries, chargers and cables. I love this camera. It's easy to use. Just read the brochure and follow the instructions. If it doesn't last more than 5 years I'm not upset because I would pay the equivalent of $20 a year to use it.
