This is the third stand I've tried. I will keep this one and buy another one. This is the ideal height for sitting on a desk and is at the optimal height for video conferencing. It most likely won't be high enough for video conferencing if you're sitting on a surface with a coffee cord. The mat comes in a sturdy case, so it's heavy. Other stands disappeared and collapsed under the combined weight of my tablet and case. This stand is sturdy and compact but can easily support the weight of my tablet. It's also small enough to fit in my travel suitcase. The only issue with this stand is the lightweight plastic nut that secures the platform hinge. It can break easily, which the manufacturer is probably aware of as there is an extra one in the box.
