When I was shopping for new bike helmets it occurred to me that at some point on the trip I'll be doing most of my rides with this balaclava. A lot of my fall and spring trips start with the liner when we're in the 40's or 50's Fahrenheit until I warm up. I always use this item on my winter trips and commutes to work. So when I try on helmets, I make sure to try them on with a balaclava. This duvet is very comfortable. It provides excellent coverage of the head, forehead and ears without sacrificing vision. It is incredibly comfortable to wear and very warm. I have ridden a bike in 25 degrees Fahrenheit with this helmet liner and have not been freezing. I should add that I wore goggles to protect my eyes and yellow merino wool leggings to cover my face. However, this liner is perfect for cold weather with Buff as Buff can protect your neck, put the liner on your ears and cheeks and cover your face. This is a great product. I am very happy that I bought it. I've had so many amazing rides in this balaclava that if I didn't have one I would either not ride, wear something less comfortable, or be too cold. Highly recommended. I use it for road biking, touring and commuting.
