I bought three (3) of these for the ladder kit, put new batteries in and attached them to the stairwell wall with double sided tape following the instructions that came with them. One of the lights works fine, but the other two are dead. The two bad ones don't do anything at all, so the bottom line for me is a pretty low overall performance rating for this product. I had high hopes that this was a solution to a persistent problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I just take them away and leave them in the same room as Guinsoo's knife. I won't even waste my time or effort contacting Mr. Beams because I believe that a company should offer a product that is ready to use out of the box, at least for a while. However, I will take as many people away from this company as possible. Update on this product: Mr. Beams actually contacted me to replace two non-working lamps! I've stopped arguing with other companies' customer service departments because there's no point arguing for hours with customer service reps who have all day to tire you out. When this company contacted me and offered to replace my headlights, that was my day! Therefore, I have upgraded this rating to four stars and will now recommend Mr. Beams.
