I did extensive research so I bought both filters to compare. I unpacked it and left, having trouble distinguishing which was the Levoit brand. I noticed that one filter was heavier and assumed it was a branded Levoit filter that costs $11 more ($36 vs $25 for the generic Flintar). Had not! The flint filter looks just as good and is actually heavier than the Levoit. Maybe it has more carbon on the inner layer. I would recommend the Flintar filter as it has the same mesh, weave and pads as the Levoit brand filter.
