Let me preface this review with some information on who and where this item is being used as a lot of the negative reviews are from people complaining that the price isn't high enough is. . My son's daycare provides cots for all children to sleep in - he is very comfortable in his own cot, so buying a really thick carpet was not part of my decision. I wanted something light, easy to wash and cute. This is exactly what I was looking for. The rug itself is a bit soft (and come on guys, this is for preschoolers. Have you ever noticed where they fall asleep and what positions they sometimes sleep in? My kid will probably struggle on the concrete when tired enough becomes). This is high quality cotton. The blanket itself is made from a thin fleece (again, it can be thin, but this is a product for a child who sleeps FULLY dressed during a school nap). Inside the mat is a very cute little pillow insert and a little pocket for you to store a cute or small stuffed animal/doll. We are delighted with the purchase - it is exactly what we were looking for to send our (almost) 3 year old to school.
