No more crumpled butter dishes...

It took me a long time to pull the trigger on this purchase. Better late than never! If you think about it, UNDERSTAND! My wife doesn't like cold butter and can't learn how to soften it... So I had trouble finding the last bits of butter for years. in a pod of oil floating around while a new one (or two or three!) opens up. I was the one who threw away the oil that could have been used if it hadn't been stirred and oxidized. I tried using a tin can with a lid to prevent oxidation. The family looked right behind the jar and opened a new packet of butter! And leave it. In a shell. At the counter. We've had it for about a month and I'm still impressed when I look at it. Soft butter. No more oxidized, smeared, wasted oil. We all love this color and it's easy to find even when the clutter on our small kitchen tables is getting out of control. The pot is so quick and easy to clean! When the oil in the jar gets low, I soften the new wand. When the last one is used up, quickly soak in warm water and some soap, dry, and we're back in business with a fresh chopstick. I was worried that I would forget to change the water often enough with my ADD, but I think I change it once or twice a week and we haven't had any problems with the oil freshness.

Pros
  • A TOUCH OF PROVENCAL COUNTRY CHARM - Butter Bell's popular antique collection of potsherds is inspired by French country cooking, with intricate embossing on each butter dish, reminiscent of the leaves and twining vines of a French vineyard from which the butter is dated to create a worn vintage look. Conveniently sized for optimal oil freshness, the jug is easy to use and fits perfectly on the worktop.
