There are many pixie kits out there and I've rounded up a few of them. It's the best I've ever seen. The circuit board and components are of good quality, and the acrylic body is comfortable and attractive. You can get a pixie kit for less, sometimes just a few dollars but with long wait times and sometimes less quality and no case. Technical skills are required to assemble and operate this transceiver. If you are frustrated by Pixies, take this as a signal to improve your technical knowledge and skills and then try again.
