I really like my D'Cent biometric hardware wallet. I have a few other hardware wallets and this one has a lot of nice features. Firstly, it is thin and portable, easy to put in your pocket when traveling. The design is elegant and the mobile app interface works without Bluetooth. I love the fact that D'Cent supports ERC-20 tokens which I didn't have with my other cold storage wallets. The device is initialized with a mnemonic with 24 initial values, which is extremely secure. The buttons make it easier to scroll through the different screens. Using a mobile application to receive and send cryptocurrency is user-friendly. There are several disadvantages. I don't like the fact that the PIN is hard coded to 4 digits. The wallet only deletes itself if the PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times. I don't understand the logic behind so many failed attempts. If the device is stolen, there is a 3.83% chance that it can be unlocked with brute force. My other wallet has a 4-8 digit PIN with fewer failed attempts. The fingerprint scanner also seems a bit unreliable. All in all, this is a great solution. When it's lying around, it really does look like an iPod or a music player. I am very glad that this tool is in my arsenal.
