After doing A LOT of research on Christmas lights and finding lights to use outside of my home for more than just a holiday I finally found these lights and was so excited about anything she could do. However, upon receipt of this product, the photos and description of the product are very misleading. Again and again everything you read says it's 157.5 feet long - that doesn't tell the whole truth. What they don't tell you is that it's not 157.5 continuous linear feet. I found that it is two strands split in half and both strands are connected in one connector. So if, like me, you're planning to run 157.5 continuous linear feet around a ledge or your house, guess again. I even chatted with Twinkly and they confirmed that all of their lights are designed like this. Even if you look at the photos, you might think that this is one very long strand and not two shorter ones. So I had to spend another $50 to buy a really long extension so I could actually use the product. This product also says it can be used to light up your home for the holidays, but the only option for matching lights is a Christmas tree. Yes, you can assign a different color to each bulb, but it's so difficult to choose just one light. I want to enlarge the Christmas tree image so I can actually select the one lightbulb I want to change the color of. Well these lights are pretty cool and they do some pretty amazing things. I wish the app would give us all the cool features that pre-programmed light displays have. There's really no way to create your own movement patterns and such. Sure, you can take one of their pre-programmed displays and change the colors, but that doesn't really give you full control to really do what you want to do with the lighting. Even when I spoke to the company directly, they really had no answer as to how misleading their images and product information pages were - they just kept telling me they would let someone know - yes! I only gave it three stars because the marketing of this product is misleading, but if you can figure out how this product works, it's a great product. I just wish I didn't have to spend more than $200 to get these lights to work the way I envisioned them.
