This drain plug does what I want it to, just pop off and otherwise stay in the "open" position. It's advertised to work, at least not very well, so buyers should pay attention. When you pull the drain lever in your sink, the rod pushing on the plug slides off — essentially, the plug stays in place no matter how the lever is positioned. This makes sense as the cork has a long channel and not a single point of contact connecting it to the rod. Bottom line: if you just need to plug a hole in your sink and it's easy to remove for cleaning, get this. If opening and closing the drain is important to you, look elsewhere.
