I was excited to finally get a handheld mic as I had hearing problems at work. This mic lasted me 5 days! On the second day problems with the radio started. When I spoke into the mic it seemed broken and people couldn't understand me and then it worked again and then it became unreadable again. On day 5 I found that I could no longer hear traffic on the radio. I contacted another officer and found I could send messages over the radio, but I couldn't hear anything. I removed the mic from the radio and found that one of the gold pins that matched the radio was missing, rendering the handheld mic useless to me. Don't waste your time with this product, very poorly made. I have had several mics in the past (had to buy new ones when our radios were upgraded at work) and have never had a problem with other mics. Completely disappointed.
