Functional it's perfect. I have photosensitive migraines and sometimes it is very important to protect my eyes from the sun at least ten feet between the car and the building. It's deep enough to help a lot more than the traditional umbrellas, which I've found better than hand or nothing to use. Four stars instead of five because it's not as easy to fold and store as we'd like. This is my second UV umbrella; the other looks very similar and folds open in the same way (albeit a little more gently), but also folds back. These I have to turn upside down to hand fold and the tether strap is poorly placed so it lands too close to the handle unless I'm very conscious of adjusting that particular fold. The whole thing mostly stayed in a crumpled heap as I would probably break it if I was in a bad mood caused by a migraine. As a replacement screen - great. If I hadn't bought it as a backup, I'd probably be looking for another one that wasn't so annoying about being shut down at a time when I'm really not prone to excitement.
