You have to use it correctly. Optimal and economical.

I am a beginner and prefer to learn by trial and error rather than watching online tutorials like I should. I bought a brush pad for felting, foam and a wool buddy. I immediately hated the brush type, it seemed wobbly and unreliable. The type of foam was ok but I didn't like the feel or sound of the needle and I knew it wouldn't last. Then I tried the XL Wool Buddy. I liked the size, thickness and feel. It felt reliable, it seemed solid, and no matter how hard I hit it, I didn't see any holes or wear. My only problem was MY OWN MISTAKE!. I made a felted sheet, I tried it for the first time. Of course, a sheet is a flat piece. I pierced and I liked the result. Went in to get the sheet out and it was STRONGLY attached to the Wool Buddy. I messed up one side of the WB by pulling and scraping the sheet off. I didn't want to give up WB because I loved everything else about it. So. I did what I had to do, watched some tutorials, got some good advice, and realized I was a fool, but with hope. I started again with the remaining good side of the WB. I cut a few squares of tulle fabric slightly larger than the size of the leaf I was going to make. I put a piece of tulle on top of the WB, laid out my wool fibers and placed another piece of tulle on top, kind of like a felt sandwich. I started jabbing, but every minute or so I would pull the sheet completely off the WB and turn it over. When the tulle had too many holes I replaced it. The tulle and frequent turning worked like a charm. The sheet came off perfectly from both the tulle and the WB sheet. Use BB correctly and you will love it! Now all I have to do is avoid the ugly side I screwed up!
