Pretty solid tripod for the money. It would have gotten 5 stars if the detachable mount was a bit stronger. An injection molded part can have a more solid appearance. Our first use was to mount a spotting scope and camera on a tripod, the mount broke off a bit. Granted, the 15-kilo load of these two is well under the stated weight limit, but the center of gravity isn't over the set screw when the two elements are connected. Overall we like it and understand that we need to be extra careful when handling the tripod head/visor and camera. We'd like to buy a few more mounting plates so they stay attached to the gear we're using (two cameras and two scopes) rather than having to unscrew and move the plate. to the next device. None of these are available from the manufacturer or from Revain.
