Item arrived quickly. It was a gift purchase - there are two other sets available. The headlight has four settings: a brighter bulb and a dimmer bulb, as well as two settings for two LEDs, one lit steadily and the other flashing. The bright bulb provides good illumination when driving at night, but should not be confused with one of those expensive headlights that light up the road. The batteries are 4 AA and they last about an hour on the brightest setting with rechargeable ones and then the LED is always on by default. This setting remains enabled for more than 24 hours. Provides enough light to see and be seen driving you home. The taillight uses AAA batteries and has multiple always-on settings and different flashing modes. The only downside is that the tail light assembly can dangle in the body, especially if you have the seat pack. However, a piece of duct tape keeps him from coming out. Battery life is excellent, still on the original set after many overnight rides. The light is bright and easy to see. For the price, this set can't be beat. Alkaline batteries seem to last longer, I carry a spare set with me.
