🚲 BELL Night Trail Bike Light Kit Review

I had to return this product the same day I received it from Amazon. When I opened the product to insert the battery, the lighting set literally fell apart in my hands. And I was careful. In my disbelief I examined it further and all the new pieces fell apart. The very small and cheap plastic piece holding the bulb fell apart next, the tiny metal and precariously soldered piece holding the circuitry just stopped doing what it was designed to do. And all this in 10 minutes without packaging. God

We use Ni-MH batteries but the headlight doesn't work well with them. The batteries fit inside the case, but the top plastic cover has two tabs to secure the batteries; It is designed for disposable alkaline batteries. I had to shave the case to make room for the slightly larger batteries. The flashlight itself is pretty good though and seems to hold up pretty well to abuse. This product provides enough light for night driving on fairly wide trails. On tight off-road trails, the jet isn't powerful enough in my opinion. I haven't used it in normal street situations because I've ridden off-road my whole life. I bought this light because I wanted something really bright. The Xeon lamp sounded good. I live in a very rural area ie. We have no street lights, solid dirt roads. This light has 4 modes. Bright Xeon, Dark Xeon, Steady LED and Blinking LED. Even on my black dirt roads, the LED mode is almost always bright enough to negotiate potholes and other bumps.
