I had a vitrectomy in February 2019. I returned the other devices face down after 7 days but I still had a blister in my eye and wanted to spend more time face down in bed. This pillow worked great. I used a thick book to support my forehead and an underbust pillow to support the underside of the face pillow. It worked great. It is very comfortable. Its design was better than the rental gear because it didn't put pressure on the eyes.
