If you want buttons that look like the originals, look elsewhere. These pads give the keys a soft feel, but the controls still feel responsive enough for active gaming. In the end I replaced everything, although I only had problems with the cross. I could open things up and use OEM parts for the buttons, but I've been concerned ever since I started removing one of the three screws. I've tested New Super Mario, Castlevania, and Tetris with no issues with character or block controls. .Overall I'm happy with the replacement and I suspect it will take some time to get used to the new button feel. If anyone knows of a good set of pads that look like the originals I'd like to know.
