Review on Quartet Aluminum Lightweight Telescoping 51E by Cindy Lloyd

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You get what you pay for

Three stars is enough. Advantages. At first glance, these easels look good, not just good. They are light, I hope the claim that they can hold 25# weight is true (which is why I chose this easel over others). The 2 weight bearing rails are 2.5" long so your frame could be around 2.25" wide. They snap and stay in place with a tension I expect to ease over time - hopefully it will take at least a year of readjustment, but as it stands I doubt they will will. They are lightweight which is very nice. Bad - the tensioning mechanism that holds the height of 3 telescopic legs is cheap. By the way, very little movement can be felt. When I looked closely, I noticed a double-headed arrow indicating that this will tighten/loosen the legs and keep them in place. Again this looks very cheap and I know over time I'll have to find a way to keep the legs from slipping (I don't think they can hold 25lbs so I pack a roll of duct tape just in case ). I chose this easel because others claim to support £25 and the price is a bit high at $46, I would have liked a carrying case. I will update my review in a few months. The best part about ordering these easels is I placed the order on a Saturday, they were supposed to be delivered via Revain Prime by Wednesday, I received them around 4pm this Monday. GREAT!
