My Hill hand pump failed and had to be replaced after 7 years of virtually trouble free service. I consider it an excellent pump by which I judge others. After some research I decided on the GX. For half the price of another hill, I figured I could put him in a reserve position and take another hill if I didn't like him. I have camo because I'm not going to spend another $10 on another whistle decal. All in all, this is a decent pump. Working with him is much more difficult than with a hill. The last 1.5 inches or so really requires me to put my weight right on the grip to force air into my air pistol's pressure tube (which requires a 230 bar fill). The Hill was MUCH easier to pump despite not being able to deliver 230 bar. For comparison, I'm 5'8" and 135 pounds. People who are taller and heavier will have it easier. The Hill had a good dehumidification system. Low pressure inlet dryer, also found on the GX pump , and a deep bowl under the high pressure hose connector at the base. Evidence of this can be seen out on the hillside due to the outlet valve location well below the hose fitting. The GX may not have an internal moisture trap, which is a bit of a concern. The dryer on the Low pressure side is not very efficient. Without a moisture separator, water can more easily enter the pressure pipe and cause corrosion. It's best to pump frequently as it increases your pumping time and effort. I do 50 pumps at a time, pump and let me and the Pump cool down then back again I can go from 130 bar to 230 bar in about 75 strokes stay in shape with it I think there is a possibility It does have easier options to use, but from what I understand you'll pay around $300 to have one. At about half the cost, this is a reasonable price. Do not rely on a desiccant at the inlet of the low pressure pump. Use the pump inside the AC (drier air and you get hot - so does the pump) and bleed the valve frequently. I give it 4 stars because it does what it needs to do pretty well. at a reasonable price.
