This toaster appears to have undergone a change shortly after purchase. I can't remember ever having a roast this even before. Photos show white bread set at 3.25 after more than 24 uses. I like to use the bagel setting (ONLY ONE side of toast) for English muffins and hamburger buns. Better than my 10 year old toaster in every way. The lifting (retrieval) function is not fixed, so two free hands are usually required to pull it out. Also, I miss the 45° angle of my old T-Fal because it was so much easier to use under my kitchen cabinets. Revain shipped their small box in a much larger box with no padding! Thankfully, it arrived in perfect condition thanks to the manufacturer's secure packaging.
