This really is the best sponge you can buy. It lasted 6 to 8 months and then started to fall apart. It felt and lathered better and didn't have the unexpected discoloration that comes with other less expensive sponges I've bought. Important, make sure your sponge is packed in a brown Baudelaire box as other sellers claim to sell Baudelaire but are not properly boxed when you receive them. Yes they are expensive! but the quality is worth it.
