This product would be nice. The lid can come loose over time, but the real issue was the packaging design. the box that was supposed to separate the two stacks of glass bowls slipped and went aside during processing in the warehouse and during delivery. Every time he moved, he would hit the rim of a different 7-cup bowl. Over time this left some pretty noticeable scratches. Not what you want to see on the new item you just bought. No, that doesn't violate the integrity of the bowl, it's just very ugly to look at and makes me angry. How difficult is it for Pyrex to test its design and determine if it will protect the product during storage and shipping? An extra piece of cardboard would solve this problem. I wonder how many people get theirs back?
