Oh yeah this thing works really well. I mean, you just can't ask for more from night lighting these days. You have to turn it on without internet. But the internet is not needed for this thing. My favorite mode is "off" during the day. Thanks to the sunlight streaming in through my windows, I can still see where I'm walking down the hall. In addition, in this mode you simply save energy (money) when you turn on the device. The "on" night mode is probably my least favorite mode. Yes, it helps me see the carpet and hallway walls for a late-night pee, but all I can think about is how much money I'll save with a much better "off" mode during the day.
