I ordered two of these, one for a Supermicro server board that didn't have any sound hardware and one for a 9 year old Foxconn Z68A-S motherboard that didn't have any windows 10 -64 compatible drivers on Foxconn servers. It was strictly plug and chug for both of them. Plug the adapter into a USB 2.0 header (for both my boards), plug speakers into the adapter and you've got sound. The price of entry is worth the risk of commercial driver releases and the risk of malware trying to find a driver for your old SoundBlaster board or card. I would buy one again in a heartbeat and probably will.
