When my son was little he had respiratory/skin issues which kept the humidifier in his room year round. After going through MANY brands/versions (some leaked, some clogged, some required constant filter changes, some were terribly difficult to clean) this has become the gold standard among humidifiers. Quiet, easy to direct flow, easy to clean, no parts to replace. My daughter was then born with skin problems/nosebleeds and she needed it too. We have another crane (either a pig or a cow, I don't remember) and it was good but not as good as an elephant. Bought another elephant. Bought 2 more years later for other rooms in the house. 13 years later I will still just use them and give to other children in need. Love it.
