This helmet is so cute! I wanted my youngest to carry something when I put her in the trunk on the back of the bike. She was about 21 months old and his head was constantly in the 50th percentile. I measured her head before ordering, although I don't remember the measurements. In any case, I was able to adjust the helmet tight enough to hold it in place. It's definitely not that small. There is a lot of space and I think she will wear it for at least a year. I chose this helmet because it was the cheapest I could find - probably an old design or something. But it's perfect and like I said the color and design is so cute!
