I bought this for my 1 year old when she was having night terrors. That was 2 years ago, and "Blue Dog" remains ever by her side to this day. Blue Dog goes everywhere with my daughter and is a true "Velveteen Rabbit" - he's lost his fuzz, and eye fell off and had to be re-sewn. He's survived dunkings in water, being thrown, dropped, and stepped on, getting slammed in doors, run over with strollers, and survived being a cuddle buddy every single night for the last two years.My daughter herself, in a bout of curiosity, opened Blue Dog up one night and broke the battery compartment. So the lights don't work, but I have no doubt they would have survived a long time. But even though the lights stopped working, I can personally vouch for this lasting 2 years through the heaviest of a child's love, and I'm sure Blue Dog will be with us for many years to come.Update - Jan 10, 2021Blue Dog is still going strong. He lost an ear in an unfortunate accident and we had to sew it back on. And his nose fell off and had to be superglued. He's been hugged so much that his stuffing went all flat, and we bought some cotton and re-stuffed him. He still goes everywhere with my daughter and is still her cuddle buddy every single night, even though she is starting to outgrow him and leave him at home sometimes. But Blue Dog has survived it all. Blue Dog is probably the best purchase I've ever made.
