Review on AntennaMastsRus Aluminum Antenna Compatible 2009 2019 Replacement Parts for Lighting & Electrical by Zack Frazier

Great optics, great reception, great antenna.

I was looking for a shorter replacement for the 31" Ford factory mast antenna on my 2010 Ford Raptor due to the excessive height of the factory antennas causing it to hit my garage opening. I've tried 2 other short antennas, but living on the outskirts of Phoenix, 50-75 miles from transmitter stations, the loss of reception was horrendous. I've lost a lot of HD radios, others were static, it was a deal breaker as I figured I'd just have to live with my factory antenna. Then I tried this antenna. It looks great on the truck and after my very scientific comparison with the factory antenna on the road I could not detect any loss of reception and a few stations sounded even better and there was at least a second antenna. The HD radio that came with this antenna but not my factory set. The antenna comes with a double sided stainless steel screw that screws into the bottom of the antenna and seems to fit nicely as it is detachable yet very strong. stuck in the base of the antenna. It attaches easily and seamlessly to the truck's factory antenna mount and has a very solid construction. It's rigid (not flexible) for most of its length, but there's a spot about an inch and a half on the antenna where it's free to flex, allowing it to swing in any direction if something hits it, and can bounce back. into a vertical position. Conclusion: If you are looking for a replacement antenna for your truck, stop looking. That's all. I can't talk about possible wind noise yet or how it will handle the AZ Sun, but I'll talk about my experience.
