Review on Ultimate Ironing Experience: Golden Hands GH111 Ironing Board Cover, 15 by 48-Inch by Steven Lewis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Happy to find this size

I ordered this because it fits a wide Seymour ironing board and a cover this size is very hard to find. The downside is that the cords pulling the lid look pretty flimsy, but I was able to shape and tighten them without breaking them. It looked pretty bland and didn't have any padding underneath so it just slipped over two other cases and cheap pads. It is difficult to understand why the manufacturer makes it difficult to find the right size and does without a lining. To make matters worse, the instructions say to treat it with Scotchguard before applying. Now I have one more purchase to make before I can use the new cover. How painful! To be honest, I think ironing board cover manufacturers must be thinking that almost nobody irons anymore and that dull looking pads are attractive to those of us who still iron. I gave it 3 stars because if it had been colorful, had stronger strings and included a pad I would have given it 5 stars. That's all right, nothing more. I hope that the manufacturer at least continues to offer this hard-to-find size. I don't mind paying more for quality, just wish someone would offer it.
