Review on 🌬️ Xikar Crystal Humidifier - Long-lasting, Up to 90 Days, Expanding Crystals, Optimal 70% Humidity, 4 oz Jar by Mary Campbell

I bought these to provide humidification in several fridges to deal with overflowing cigars from the humidor cabinet. In each of the 3 coolers I have this 4 ounce can of Xikar combined with a Xikar cigar humidifier (for a 250 cigar humidor) with a magnetic humidifier. The coolers are 48 liters and the 2 units together provide a constant humidity level of 68% to 70% each. I use a PG solution to charge it and check the level about every 2 weeks. My only concern is the dark spots on the gel, which Xicar says is normal. Although these items are slightly more expensive than other brands, I entrust my cigars to a company that has never let me down. surprisingly pretty good) and their cigar cases. The first installation is about 6 months old, the second about 4 months old and the third I installed about a month ago. They all record the same humidity levels measured with calibrated digital hygrometers. It's a small price to pay considering the cost of the cigars they protect. I am happy with their work so far and will update this review if anything changes. As a point of reference for anyone reading this review, I have been a cigar smoker for over 35 years and have tried all types of humectants over the years and this version is one of the most reliable I have experienced firsthand. UPDATE 02/25/2015: Still going strong after almost 3 years. They reliably ensure a constant humidity of 64 to 68% in my refrigerators. I've never been a fan of gel moisturizers, but these changed my mind about it. Highly recommended.
