I was pleasantly surprised at the value of this system. I wasn't expecting much but so far the system has been easy to install, setup and navigate. The instructions that came with the system aren't great (language barrier), but a simple Google search and a little intuition will provide the necessary information. The dash cam software is very basic, but it's really no different than any other security system I've come across. Physically, the cameras have a solid metal body and feel very solid. I wish the included ethernet cables were a little longer than 60 feet, but I installed the connectors/extenders on short lines and had no problems. I love that it's a POE system and I only had to run one cable to each camera. The videos are very crisp and clear and everyone I've shown the footage to has agreed too. I believe it will look even better on a 4K device than it does on a computer monitor or phone, although they still look great. Based on my recording settings (constant time recording), I generate about 1.8 GB of video per hour per camera. This will probably fill a 2TB hard drive in about a week and a half, but the system can be expanded to a 6TB hard drive, which I will likely do over time. The motion detection seems to be very sensitive. I set the sensitivity to its lowest and it still triggers when the trees are swaying in the wind or when there are insects flying around at night (I understand this is a typical problem with IR cameras). I guess I got some settings wrong so I'm not ready to scold the system just yet, but I need to keep playing with the software. simple UI), you need to manually tell it to switch to HD preview. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's a bit annoying. Motion notifications feel instant, and it's easy to view footage right from your phone. Overall I would definitely recommend this system to anyone looking for a great system at a reasonable price.
