When I was a young soldier in the US Army, my sergeant gave me one of these. It wasn't exactly like that, but it has become one of my favorite and most useful gadgets. You can put a sleeping bag (fart bag) in it and stay dry no matter how much rain or snow, you can stuff it with anything and take it with you. My old one didn't have as many handles as this one. I suppose you could carry an injured person in it or use it to keep warm if stuffed with leaves or some other type of insulation. My favorite trick was adding some laundry detergent and a few gallons of water to shake up my BDUs. This will be part of my insect screen kit. A very useful thing.
