I bought them in vases for an upcoming wedding. They are so much fun to play with! They are almost microscopic. Just a pinch filled the vase! I've tried using them in different ways. What happens is they absorb whatever water you put them in and at maximum absorption level they are about the size of an average marble. With no water in the vase, they appear as individual pearls. I put a submersible tealight in it and it looks very nice. Then I pour water in a vase and voila! Pearls disappear! But now the light seems to be floating in the vase. Only I can't let the light sit directly in the vase because it sits on round beads so it looks out of the box. Then I tried putting tinted water (food coloring) on the beads and it looked really pretty! Then I used colored water to grow more pearls and now they are the color of water! They will definitely be on my tables.
