Install it on the back of your monitor and forget about it

Almost a year after the pandemic and working from home, I'm defeated and understand that things won't go back to the way they were anytime soon . I had an odd setup on my desk for work/home computers with a single monitor, but I had to manually reconnect my keyboard and mouse when switching. I put it off thinking it would be temporary, but who are we kidding, right? So this HDMI KVM switch makes my daily routing a lot easier. I can easily switch between the home and work devices I use most. I installed this switch with mounting tape behind the monitor. The switcher doesn't require an external power supply, so all I had to do was connect HDMI and USB cables to each computer, and then plug my own cable from the switcher's output port into the monitor. The input cords are about 3ft long and cannot be removed, so be careful if your machines are further. It worked in my case, but I had to move my home machine a little closer to the Switch location. However, the most convenient feature is the input selector; It's just a button that I'm keeping on my desk for now, but it makes switching easier. In the long term I could install it directly under the monitor frame. Finally, I don't have 4K, but my monitor is slightly larger than FHD (1920 x 1200) and that's not a problem.
