The last three I bought smelled like glue or solvent The smell spread throughout the room and I had to turn off the machine. This defeats the purpose of an air purifier, so I finally got fed up with the smelly filters and donated the car. After some research I found out that the filters are made in India and they are not real HEPA filters but overpriced dust filters. I bought a Honeywell HPA300 and the filters last twice as long, filter the air better because they are true HEPA filters, and ended up costing half the price of Blueair. Blueair cars and filters are a scam and not worth it.
