With two cats and too much red wine, our carpets need regular stain cleaning. In short, it works, although sometimes a second application is required. Unlike some other cleaners we've tried, the stains don't come back. TIPS: (1) Be sure to follow the directions and press the stain with the back of a spoon. (2) We use this with the Bissell spot cleaning machine for more stubborn or larger stains. Spray on, press into the stain, leave on for ten minutes and then use the stain remover with plain hot water in the tank to spray and extract onto the stain. This method worked on every stain we tried it on.
