When I received the package I was completely satisfied with its weight which does not move and remains heavy. Not only is it stable, the anti-scratch pad covers the entire contact area with the laptop (I use it for a portable monitor). The joints were difficult to adjust, but that means the stand won't accidentally drop my monitor out of the blue. The rotation is pretty smooth.
